Windows Vista email: my Mcaffe deleted all e-mails from the sent items folder
(my fault). I know they are there becasue I ran a free utility which found
them, however they want $80.00 for the full version to restore them. Anyway I
can do it for less?
Thank you
Steve

The answer probably depends on where the messages were deleted from.

Were they deleted from your InBox? If so, then it might be the messagestore
that was deleted from but not the actual messages and the actual messages
are probably still there. The $80 fee is probably a fee that only
non-technical people would pay.

Or were they deleted from the folder where WinMail stores messages? If so
then you should have had a backup but now it is too late for that. For the
future, you need to set up a backup of your system that executes on a
frequent schedule, such as daily. You can probably find an undelete utility
that costs little or nothing.

Have you looked under
C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Mail\Local Folders\Sent Items

If the missing emails aren't there, use a free file undelete utility like Recuva:
