any one ever had a problem with Microsoft LifeCam VX-1000? i would like to
know before i buy it.

Wit most USB devices, the software/drivers are installed and the
component is connected only when directed by the software.
With some hardware, connecting early can cause installation issues.

The LifeCams usually have a paper on the USB plug explaining not to
connect until directed.
