Due to the age of the sound card and checking on Dynex website it is unlikely
that you will be able to get drivers compatible with Vista.
You may have no option but to replace your sound card!!!!
There is no work around to get old cards to work in Vista that will give
good results.

Pretty late in the game for this, but if you still need Vista drivers
for this card, try getting the ENvy24 drivers from VIA, they work, and
better I might add, at least on XP.

Wouldn't doubt it, but this card sounds as good as my old X-FI, so it's
a good deal for me :D

It is actually the Best Buy brand. :) Sometimes, they are great deals,
but like the OP had issues with: support.

Yea, I noticed it used a VIA Envy24 chipset, found the drivers from VIA
themselves, and viola, it works perfect and it has decently new drivers
:D.

hello world. Well saints be praised begora, I have the drivers of which
you speak. There are 3 ways of getting them. I placed them on the pirate
bay.
1/ go to thepiratebay.org and search 'via_envy24mt_540a.zip' or 'dynex
drivers for vista'
2/ go to the pirate bay and search for driver genius pro, then install
when completed. It should find the drivers.
3/ e-mail me at aade...@hotmail.com and I will send you the drivers.
N.B. this seems to only work if you have a hotmail account. gmail
doesan't work for examplke due to the zip.
