TS sessions sometimes don't disconnect on the DC

I have a TS and two domain controllers. Sometimes, I see sessions on a DC
(Computer Management-Shared Folders-Sessions) that are still connected.
These sessions are from users who only connect via our TS. At the time I
see these, their TS connections have been long disconnected. Why are these
sessions not disconnecting from the DC when the user logs off the TS?
