Hi,

Every account has a language bar in the right bottom corner of his
screen.

How do I hide this in one time for all the users?

Thx

Are you referring to the Alternative User Input that can get installed with
Microsoft Office >= XP?

There are several methods to remove the toolbar including removing certain
Office components and unregistering the relevant DLL. I have had limited
success with those methods in a TS environment.

However, removing the registry key listed below will eliminate the toolbar
for all users. I recommend exporting the key first in case you want to
restore the toolbar at a later date.

. In order to remove the language toolbar from the user environment, delete
the following registry key:
HKey_Classes_Root\CLSID\{540D8A8B-1C3F-4E32-8132-530F6A502090}

I'm not sure I understand the question - how is what installed?

My response was an instruction on hiding the toolbar for all users.

Thanx for that.

An additional question was:

This wasn't visible a few weeks ago, is this happened with an update or
an action?

Thx

The language bar is normally part of the default installation of the OS. I
can be easily turned off for a single user in Explorer so maybe it was
turned off individually for users. I'm not aware of a recent update that
would have impacted the appearance of the toolbar.

Alternate User Input, if that's what you're referring to (handwriting and
voice recognition toolbar) is a component of Office XP, 2003 and probably
2007. If you do the default Office Install, these components are installed.
This is why I recommend that one does a custom install, deselects the AUI
components and marks them as unavailable and hidden, so tey can't be added.
These become part of the OS, so they are not removed, even if MSOffice is
uninstalled. The only way to get rid of them is to edit the registry and
restrict access to the files via NTFS Permissions.

Please verify that the AUI Toolbar is what you're referring to, of is
someone just enabled a different language in the Regional and Language
Options Control Panel Applet.
