Would somene please boot into BIOS or look at the device manager and

Motion Computing ls800 hard drive?

Thanks.

I suppose that would depend upon what drive is installed. I believe there
are three (3) different choices. I chose the 60gb drive. It is a Toshiba
MK6006GAH.

VERY helpful. Motion Computing tech support couldn't even tell me
that. When I asked sales to just pick up a drive they had and tell me
what the part number was, he told me that all of their comptuers were
manufactured overseas and that was not a possiblity. I just wanted to
know, for all those pilots out there, if an SSD (IDE Flash disk) could
work in this tablet, since many are installed in aircraft. Hard drives
crash above a certain altitude. SSDs do not, AND they sport 1ms access
times. There ARE 1.8" SSDs out there (I've seen them at
www.dvnation.com/ssd.html), but the Toshiba website shows that the
drive you listed has a femaile connector. Other Toshiba drives have
that wierd new ZIF connector. Most IDE disks have a male connector.
So, to answer your question... YES you helped me!

The information below is from Motion Computing's web site:
http://www.motioncomputing.com/products/tablet_pc_ls800.asp

. 1.8" Hard Disk Drive (HDD) with 30GB or 60GB capacities
. PCI bus master enhanced IDE
. Supports Ultra ATA 66/100

They also have the LS800 specifications sheet available in a PDF format file
at the above URL.

I've seen those documents on Motion Computing's website. It was not
specific enough. The previous reply in this thread was what I need.

Next question. Can this table PC boot from an external drive attached
to a USB port?

The LE1600 can so I'm sure the LS800 can as well.
