So I've been eyeballing Tablet PC's this week
but I just keep coming back to the Compaq TC1000.
Hot damn, that thing is pretty! Anyway, I was wondering
if they had any intention of releasing a Centrino-based
Tablet PC? Also, I know that they use the Fine Point digitizer;
is the TC1000 compatible with a Wacom digitizer ?

Thanks everybody
Shaun

Hi, Shaun,

No, the FinePoint technology is completely different than Wacom and not
compatible. The Compaq is not pressure-sensitive if that's a feature you
need.

Next, Compaq has announced they will continue to use a Transmeta cpu,
although the next generation should include the newer Astro.

Thanks for the quick response Terri!
and thanks everybody for the helpful advice on Tablet PCs.
I've thrown in the hat and decided to go with the Motion Computing
m1300. It uses the Wacom digitizer, is a slate model, and is powered
by the Centrino.

mmmmm.... Centrino....

Thanks everybody

Great choice, Shaun. I'm envious. Enjoy it.
