I'm not real clear, Linda. Is this a "must have" major upgrade or more of a
refinement that for the most part just does some things better?
Additionally, what are the difference between One Note and PowerNotes?
Which one do you like best?

TIA.

I love the Tablet Planner software, much better than OneNote. You can import
documents into TP and then mark them up, just like Journal. It has a tabbed
organizational system for your notes just like OneNote and a full calendar,
task and contact PIM system. The Calendar, tasks and contacts all
synchronize with your office MS exchange server either through direct lan
connection or through your Exchange web mail address. This ability is native
to TP. There is complete note taking and formating ability and you can
e-mail and export your notes staight from TP. The ink writing and
conversion componants are solid and well integrated into the program. Much
better ink abilities in TP then in Outlook 2003. I think this is the best,
most essential program I can have for my Tablet. If it just had the ability
to post searchable "flags" to notes, like journal does, it would be perfect.

I can't figure out why OneNote does not have the ability to import other
documents. That makes it pretty useless in my book. Half the time I spend
working with my tablet is spent reviewing, marking up and editing word and
acrobat documents. Heck, there are a lot of tablet programs which take
notes. Personally, if I had to choose I wold rather have Journal than
OneNote.

It would appear to be a "must have" as it allows TabletPlanner to run on any
XP machine. Version 2.x of TabletPlanner would only run on a Tablet PC
which closed off important recovery/backup possibilities.

I never tried OneNote, but I like TabletPlanner as well. I don't use
the note feature much because the ink in Windows Journal is much
smoother than in TabletPlanner. As well in Journal I can define own
backgrounds (firm header etc.) and lines which Tablet Planer doesn't
support. Great were, if TabletPlanner allows direct import of Journal
files or if it had an improved note section.
