Excel 2007 VBA/macro inking doesn't work

I want to switch on inking in my spreadsheet at a certain point, and
then turn it off. I also want to control the colour and point size of
the felt tip at that point.

I have no idea how to control it so I naively recorded a macro,
pressed "Start inking" at which point Excel stopped and restarted.
I can't find any documentation on how to control the inking commands
through VBA and have only found this forum after much searching.
Any help gladly received.
