i have had an airpanel V110 for somtime. could someone tell me the difference
between the V110 and the V210. from what i can gather the V210 is the later
model with 802.11g support. am i correct or are they completly different
products.

Hardware-wise, they're very similar. On the software side, the v110 runs
Windows CE for Smart Displays while the V210 runs straight Windows CE.

could you be a bit more specific? i have tried the US and UK websites for
information but cant seem to confirm one way or the other.
we have had a Viewsonic smart display V110 that we imported from the States
working successfully on our wireless network for sometime. As the V110 is
only compatible with 802.11b networks the wireless speed is often an issue.

my enquiry relates to the later V210:

1. what are the general differences between the V110 and the newer V210

2. will the V210 run at 802.11g speed or does it require a PCMCIA card
installed for 802.11g (the spec on the US web site states 802.11b/g but the
PDF user guide only refers to 802.11b. the UK web site states 802.11b so is
there a difference between the US and UK specs)

3. is the docking station for the V110 compatible with the V210 (will save
me purchasing a new docking station)

4. is the V210 touch screen disabled when docked (like the V150) i can still
use my V110 when docked but have read somewhere that V210 screen is disabled
when docked

5. the v210 comes with pre-loaded windows software and an internet browser.
does this mean that you cant use it in the same way as the V110
as a basic wireless monitor. or could i carry on use IE7, XP pro ect

thanks in anticipation

My v210 knowledge is pretty limited (I've never used one), so I think the
best thing to do is contact ViewSonic and ask them these questions.
