Clients do not connect with error 0x80244017

Hello,
we are havin problem with de connections of the clients with a wsus 3.0
sp2. The clients are windows 2000 (installed bits and wua).
Most machines (not all) connect ok the first day but actually do not
refresh information in wsus and do not install updates.
below there are the logs of clientdiag and windowsupdate.log of a example

This is an HTTP 401 error trying to execute a detection; typically caused
because Anonymous Access is not properly configured on the WSUS IIS
resources.

i've checked iis and uncheck the option integrated windows authentication
(anonymous logon was activated) the virtual directory C:\Program Files\Update
Services\WebServices\clientwebservice has ntfs rights for iusr.
Now the windowsupdate.log has change (but there is not connection, error
0xc8000408):

i've stopped wuauserv and deleted c:\winnt\softwaredistribution and
c:\winnt\windowsupdate.log then reestart de service.

i've observed when i connect to
http://10.120.21.199/ClientWebService/client.asmx I.E displays:

The IUSR_machinename should not have any rights assigned directly.
IUSR_machinename should be a member of the BUILTIN\Users group (or Domain
Users if WSUS is installed on a DC), and the BUILTIN\Users group (or Domain
Users on a DC) should have Read & Execute/Read/LFC permissions inherited
from the ~\Webservices (parent) folder.

I would suggest reviewing the permissions documented in the WSUS Operations
Guide for IIS and NTFS resources and confirm that all access permissions are
properly configured on the WSUS Server.

Note in addition to the primary possibility of a corrupted database, the
secondary, but much more likely, cause is not excluding the
~\SoftwareDistribution folder from scans by McAfee (or other AV)
applications, resulting in the AV software locking the EDB file (or hanging
it up doing a "scan on Access").
