ALL,

Recently we have implemented wsus 3.0 on windows 2003 server with
latest service pack. The entire XP clients are configured with policy
to point WSUS server.

But we are facing some issues, after approving the patches on XP
client; in WSUS console in computer group some of our Client shows a
yellow color triangle with exclamation mark in it. And few of the
shows silver color exclamation beside the computer name. And it date
and percentage column shows 99% with latest date.

After verifying the client, we found that some of clients were not
able to detect the latest patch. We have tried to delete and rejoin
the client in WSUS console, and also on client side using a switch
wuauclt /reset authorization and wuauclt /detect now.
But still these clients were not able to detect the latest patches.

Please help me to resolve this issue.

Let me know if you want some more information.

Thanks

Try at the Client: Start > Run > cmd [ENTER]:
net stop wuauserv
rd /s /q %windir%\SoftwareDistribution
net start wuauserv
wuauclt /resetauthorization /detectnow
wuauclt /detectnow (2 to 5 times)
wuauclt /reportnow

Hi!

I have the same problem, but no one of my clients reports at the wsus
server. The client log states reporting OK. Updates received. At WSUS server
the client's last contact time is correct.
Deleting softwaredistribution dir does not help, seems not a client issue.
Thanks
Teo
