Hi all.
My WSUS is just recent installed and a lot of updates downloaded. I want to
start to manage all them and deploy only those I want.

I declined all updates (26300 aprox) by mistake. I was thinking about
"unaprove" them instead decline them.

I have just aproved again all except those that are expired.

Now... is it all I have to do to restore previous state?

If it is WSUS 3 go to update and change the report to include all update
including declined ones and then change the approval.

Thank you very much...
I have so much updates and I don't know which is the best way to
manage them...

I think I wold post another thread asking for "best practices" in
WSUS.

Thanks again!

What I do is wait for the client to say what it needs and then approve those.
You need to watch for superceded update though because the WSUS client will
detect as needed all updates for a client. Even those that are superceded by
another update waiting to be installed.

This is my biggest issue with WSUS 3, you cannot see the superceded status from
the list of needed updated for a client.

Still if you look for things like XP SP3 and Office (latest SP) and make sure
they get installed first any superceded update will not be offered for install.
Once the clients are up to date this becomes a non-issue as only new update will
be detected and almost by definition this cannot include superceded updates.

There are 10 types of people, those that understand binary and those that don't.
