In the home portion of the wsus browser I show 5 updates needing files. It
syncs but apparantly never gets the files needed. It will download new
updates as they become available but it continues to show 5 needing files. Is
there a way to reset this count or do I have to live with this?

In WSUS 3.0 we automatically detect if updates are needed. Once all the
client computers download and install these updates they will not show up as
needed.

Updates is not the problem it's the files that the updates need. I'm showing
"5 files needed for updates". Either there must be a way to remove this or a
reason why it isn't downloading the files.

Couple of thing,

Is this WSUS server in a Hiearchy of WSUS servers, or is it the only one?
Have you ever restored the Database for this WSUS server from another WSUS
server?

No. It is a standalone server not in a hiearchy. The database has never been
restored.

OK. Would it be possible to get a copy of your SoftwareDistribution.log
file from "Program files\Update Services\logfiles"?

Cecils I would be happy too except it doesn't let me copy and paste here
because it's too long. I don't see a place to upload. Can you give me a email
or upload point?
