Change the IP address and then run the Fix My network wizards

Remember you'll have to modify LAN set up and port forwarding on the router

Hi Xylonite:

Nope, no wizard for this in 08. Change in in network properties.

If you run the Connect to the Internet wizard you can set the IP address of
your server there. I don't think it is a good idea to do that in the network
properties

Hello,

Thank you for posting here.

According to your description, I understand that:

You want to know how to change the server's IP address in the SBS 2008.

If I have misunderstood the problem, please don't hesitate to let me know.

Yes, in the SBS 2008 the Change IP wizard is removed in the Windows SNS
console. To change the server's IP address, you can run the Connect to the
Internet wizard (CTIW).

More related information you may refer to:

Introducing the Connect to the Internet Wizard (CTIW)
http://blogs.technet.com/sbs/archive/2008/09/17/introducing-the-connect-to-t
he-internet-wizard-ctiw.aspx

Hope it helps. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not
hesitate to let me know.

Best regards,
Miles Li

I've had run the fix network setting yesterday, but then it changed the
IP back to the original.
When i tried it again now i saw i could deselect some options so i
deselected the first 2 options (primary gateway and network router), now
it works fine.

Thank you for the information.

I would recommend following this guide to change the IP address on SBS 2008 http://techspotting.org/sbs-2008-change-ip-address/

Worked on my servers, hope that helps.
