Thanks for posting in our newsgroup.
From your description, I know that when you run the CEICW Wizard, on the
Web Services Configuration page, “Remote Work Website" is disappearing. In
addition, the Virtual Directory remote is missing too. If I am off-base,
please don’t hesitate to let me know.
Based on my experience, the Remote Work Website appears when you have
successfully installed the RWW component. Now the Virtual Directory remote
is missing in IIS, at this point, please try to reinstall the RWW component
to make it is in good status.
To reinstall RWW:
1. Open Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs.
2. Click Change/Remove for Windows Small Business Server 2003 in Add or
Remove Programs:
3. Click "Windows Small Business Server 2003" and click on "Change/Remove".
4. Follow the setup prompts until you reach the "Component Selection"
dialog screen.
5. Set the "Server Tools" to "Reinstall", and set all its subcomponents to
"None (Installed)".
6. Complete the setup wizard. You'll be prompted for SBS 2003 CD3
Note: If you use SBS 2003 SP1, please extract SBS03_SP1 from SSB 2003 CD 2
to a fold and then point the required files to the folder.
7. You may also want to reinstall SBS SP1.
After the reinstallation, please rerun the CEICW to see if the problem is
resolved.
Hope above information helps.
If you need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to let me know.
I am looking forward to your response.
Best regards,
Robert Li(MSFT)
