Hi Bubby,

Thank you for posting in SBS newsgroup.

From the description, I understand the issue to be: The computers in LAN1
are using the ISA server's internal IP address as the default gateway. You
have configured a static routing entry for LAN2 network on the ISA 2004
server, however, you still can not access LAN2 from the LAN1. If I have
misunderstood your concerns, please do not hesitate to let me know.

Basically, for this scenario, we need to add static routing entries (for
LAN2 network) into the routing table of the LAN1 computers.

To correct the current issue, I would suggest you try the following action
plan:

Scenario 1: The TCP/IP settings on LAN1 computers are manually configured

For this scenario, you will need to manually add the static routing
entries. You can use the 'route add -p' command. The entry will be
permanently added into the workstations.

Scenario 2: The TCP/IP settings on LAN1 computers are assigned through DHCP

If the computers are using DHCP, you may configure DHCP option 249
(Classless static routes) to deploy the static routing. You can do as
following:

1. Open DHCP console.
2. Expand server name | Scope.
3. Right click Scope Options and select Configure Options.
4. On general tab, select 249 Classless Static Routes and then click Add
Route.

For this environment, I suggest you have a look at the following kb article:

884496 Client computers cannot access external resources and event ID 14147
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=884496

I hope the above information helps. If you have any questions or concerns,
please feel free to let me know.

Best regards,
