SBS 2003 all updated.
Running for 3 years just fine.
MAC/entourage desktops connect via exchange and POP(on LAN - some Mac's are
checking more than 1 accont)
Windows XP/outlook - connect via exchange and POP(same as above)
Smarthost is hosted spam solutions(outbound.exchangedefender.com)
PROBLEM:
Suddenly, the POP and IMAP connectors (on entourage and outlooks) cannot
send email out.
All POP and IMAP can send out just fine. No errors.
Via exchange sends out just fine for mac and XP. But POP and IMAP accounts
fail when sending out throught the sbs box.
Where does this happen?
This happens with LAN desktop(all mac/XP) POP and IMAP connections, AND all
external users POP'ing and IMAP'ing
Testing:
We can telnet within the LAN from any desktop to sbs 2003. COnnecting.
We can telent from outside and connect to the sbs 2003.
Firewall is sonicwall with all sbs ports open.
Nothing has changed on the desktops.
Nothing else has been installed on the server.
Don't know if any updates on sbs has caused this.
ERROR when connecting POP or IMAP via the SMTP connector:
sending reported error (0x800ccc0f) the connection to the server was
interrupted. If this problem continues, contact your server administrator or
ISP provider.
Cannot find alot info on solving this.
Any help would be really helpful in this headache of an issue!!
thanks All.
