RWW connect to computer at work issue

I'm SO close to getting "Connect to my computer at work" i can taste
it!

What i can do from home:

- log into Remote Web Workplace
- Read my company e-mail
- Download connection manager
- Connect using connection manager (it shows that it connects, haven't
actually done anything with it yet to test)
- use my company's internal web site

What i CAN'T do

- connect to my computer at work
- i get the "to connect to a computer, select on from the list, and
then click Connect" and i CAN see all the computers...when i click on
connect i get, after a minute:

"Connectivity to the remote computer could not be established. Ensure
that the remote computer is on and connected to the Windows Small
Business Server network"

I know it is on and connected because i'm looking at it...

Any ideas on what i can try? soooo close :-)

Maybe another process is listening on port 4125...

Users cannot connect to remote desktops by using the Windows Small Business

i ran that test (cmd > netstat...) but it didn't show anything...so i
don't think anything is listening on that port...ideas?

I had the ISP configure the Cisco 678 because i couldn't get into it
from here for some reason (on the old server) and he setup a wildcard
for all ports to point back to the server - in esence, opening them
all up...i figured i'd let ISA handle the firewall aspect...

so, yet - i believe 4125 is open...i believe they all are...

Hi Jared,

Via RWW, can you log onto your computer at work as a domain admin rather
than your normal user name?
Is this SBS Standard or Premium (with ISA 2000)?
Is remote desktop enabled on the target (LAN) workstation(s)?
If the LAN workstations are Win XP Pro SP2, is the Windows Firewall
configured to allow Remote Desktop access?

I also see your fighting an ISA 2004 problem. May be better to get ISA
fixed before trying to diagnose an RWW problem.

I am getting the same error message:

"Connectivity to the remote computer could not be established. Ensure

that the remote computer is on and connected to the Windows Small
Business Server network"

I tried running the netstat test as well with no results. I have SBS 2003
Standard, running XP with SP2, remote desktop is enabled, Windows Firewall is
configured to allow Remote Web access.

Suggestions?

Hey jessica, if i remember correctly for me it had to do with the
firwall on the client side...go into the client firewall (CONTROL
PANEL > NETWORK CONNECTIONS > Right click on your LAN connection >
PROPERTIES > ADVANCED (tab) > SETTINGS > EXCEPTIONS (tab) and make
sure you have the "Remote Desktop" checked
