For "ADMT is unable to connect to domain controller \\1p, in source_domain.
Access is denied. (0x80070005)" error message, it indicates the user
account you perform migration task doesn't have enough permission in source
domain. Could you please inform me if you add administrator of target
domain into administrators group on source domain?
For you convenience, I list the permissions that ADMT requires to run
properly:
· Local administrator or domain administrator credentials in the
source domain
· Delegated permission on the user, group, and computer OUs in the
target domain, with the extended right to migrate SID history on the user OU
· Local administrator on the computer in the target domain on which
ADMT is installed
Before you migrate to a Windows Server 2003-based domain, you must make
some domain and security configurations, such as, enabling TCP/IP client
support on the source domain PDC, enabling auditing in the Active Directory
target domain and so on.
