We started to run some servers as a Clients in Hyper-V. But we are
getting only disadvantages of using virtualisation.
The one most annoying is when you need to run windows updates on host
Server. Then after updates you have to restart host and all virtual
server have to go down because of the update of host.

How you people solve such problem with updating o host of virtual machines.

Is the host Server Core or a full GUI installation? Core has less updates
but you will still have to reboot once in a while because of an update. It
is something that needs to be taken into account when planning a
virtualization strategy. How did you deal with it when the servers were
physical? The same or a similar solution should work now. Here's some places
to start reading about possible solutions.

When the server were physical we updated one by one and restarted. But
with Hyper-V , when you are updating host server you need restart all
virtuall machines at the same time. It is very big risk if something
will go wrong with host server than all you guest are affected. Before
we could have problem with one server at the time.

What about having two or more Hyper-V and move machines to another
Hyper-V and that restart host server, and that move guest back. How to
do it smoothly?
