SNMP Service starts and stops.

SNMP service on Windows 2000 R2 server with service pack 1. It gives
following error.
" SNMP service service on Local Computer Started And Then Stopped. Some
Services Stops Automatically If they have No work to do, for example, The
performance logs and alerter Service. "

Below is the event log found.

Please help in resolving the issue. Server was taken for a reboot, even then
the SNMP service did not start.

I am sorry for the typo server is Windows 2003 R2 SP1.

If the snmp service stops with no error, check ports 161/162 are not already in use.
