Hello-

I have a domain www.technogymusa.com here in this office.
In the past we hosted our own web server with our web site
www.technogymusa.com. However the web site was moved to
the home office in Italy.

The problem is that users in the office cannot access the
web site www.technogymusa.com. From the outside the dns is
correctly pointed to 194.244.115.243. However from inside
the office our internal dns server keeps routing the
request to the local IP address of the domain.

How do I make our DNS server take a request for
www.technogymusa.com and return the correct address from
an external dns server if our domain is also
technogymusa.com???

Thanks for you help!

An easy fix. Couple of ways to do it...

First of all, when I pinged it and did an nslookup on that domain (provided
you spelled it right), I got:

Pinging www.technogymusa.com [194.244.33.121] with 32 bytes of data:

Therefore...

1. Manually create a www entry under your internal zone, and give it
194.244.33.121.

or
2. Manually create a zone called www.technogymusa.com and create a blank
record (leave the hostname portion blank) and provide 194.244.33.121 for the
IP.

or
3. If you believe this IP will change often, you can delegate a child zone
called www under your internal zone, and provide these two nameservers and
their IP addresses:
dns.nettuno.it internet address = 193.43.2.1
dns2.nextra.it internet address = 193.43.2.246

Your choice!
