I have just upgraded my single tree, 4 domains forest to a Windows 2003
native mode AD, with the root domain being a Single-Label domain name (pri).
I had already use the registry tweak to make all DCs to join this root
domain, but I am considering to change the root domain to something like
.pri.net. What precautions do I need to take when I am going to do this job?
Any traps I may fall in during this rename exercise? As we are preparing to
upgrade to Exchange 2003, we alreday ran the ADPrep from Exchange 2003 in
our domain, will it affect the domain rename process for the root domain?
Regards,
Michael
