I understand that DNS is replicated via Active Directory when using Active
Directory-Integrated zones.
Does the zone transfers tab still server a purpose when you are using Active
Directory-Integrated? i.e. If I were to deselect 'allow zone transfers' on
this tab would DNS still be replicated through Active Directory?
Under the General tab you can change the replication for Active
Directory-Integrated. Is this the only location that controls which server
participate in the replication process?
Thanks.
The Zone transfers tab still serves a purpose, but only if you have a
Secondary zone for this zone on another DNS server. It serves no purpose as
far as AD Replication is concerned.
