The only way you can do this is by doing a zone transfer to a secondary
zone, convert the Secondary zone to a Primary zone, then convert the Primary
zone to AD Integrated.
You cannot convert a secondary zone directly to AD Integrated, it has to be
a Primary first.

i converted it to a primary zone. then i integrated it into AD.
now all the A-records don't have checked "update associated pointer (ptr)
record".
how can i generate ptr records? what have i done wrong?

Is there a reverse lookup zone with the PTRs already created?
Once the A record is created, you can only update existing PTR records, you
cannot create them in the DNS console using the Update associated PTR record
check box. I was able to update a manually created PTR though.

yes. a reverse lookup zone is created. our xp-clients (1st forward zone) and
our dhcp devices (2nd forward zone with ms dhcp servicer) are generating ptr
records in the reverse lookup zone.
only the new zone (3rd forward zone), wich is now a primary AD integrated
zone (originally the zonetransferred linux bind zone) don't create any ptr
records.
it's a german win2003 r2 server with sp2
what can i do?
