Hello,

Is it possible to do the following?

I have one server 2K3 (AD+DNS) standard and 3 workstations.

The FQDN is : MyServer.local and the local IP is 192.168.123.1

There is a Website www.MyWebSite.com in the server.

How can I do to point all workstations to the ip 192.168.123.1 (not the
public one) when they request www.MyWebSite.com in their web browsers.

I can do it individually with Hosts file, but not in DNS.

Any idea will be appreciated.

Thanks

TB

Since you have an AD, you have an internal use DNS service,
and all machines are using only this DNS.
So, one way is to host your own internal copy of the DNS domain
MyWebSite.com in which you give the hosts, like www, internal IPs.
This assumes MyWebSite.com is a very small, static set of DNS
records that is owned by yourself so you will be aware of changes
to the true, public version and remember to adjust the private one
when this happens.
