AD integrated zones out of sync

WIN 2003

I have an AD integrated zone that is integrated with 2 other child domains.
The primary zone contains 164 records, the same zone on the 2 child domain
is 31 records short, a total of 133 records. I don't see any errors in the
DNS logs. I do notice the SOA serial numbers are lower on the 2 child
domain zones than the primary zone, is this a clue ?

A reload on the child domains does not fix this.

any information would be much appreciated.

Any DCs multihomed?

Keep in mind, the SOA is not helpful in this case because of the multimaster
design of AD integrated zones. The last DC that made an update into DNS
would be the last SOA of the zone and each have different serials.
