I have just upgraded from Windows 2000 to Windows 2003 Standard Edition.

I have 3 Servers that are setup with DNS including this server. DNS is
setup with Active Directory to replicate all changes between servers.

Prior to the upgrade, I could access the Internet from the server with no
problems. After the upgrade, the new security feature of Internet Explorer
Enhanced Security Configuration continued to prompt me to add the link. I
did this, but then uninstalled the Internet Explorer Enhanced Security
Configuration. After the uninstall I can not access any Internet locations.

I also can not ping any locations via fdq or ip.

I have confirmed that that DNS is still installed and operating correctly.

Then Kevin replied below:

If you cannot ping by IP address, what makes you assume this is a DNS issue?

Ping is not the tool to test DNS resolution, you can use nslookup to test
DNS. Ping can only test connectivity if ICMP packets are allowed.
