NETDIAG Error on a Windows 2003 Active Directory Domain Controller. I do
not have dynamic update turned on my root.com zone. What record needs to be
created? How should I resolve this?

DNS test . . . . . . . . . . . . . : Failed
Interface {6FB18941-0CDE-445D-B081-9B200AE4E220}
DNS Domain:
DNS Servers: 157.95.1.1 172.16.2.89
IP Address: Expected registration with PDN (primary DNS
domain name):
Hostname: sjdc1.root.com.
Authoritative zone: root.com.
Primary DNS server: janus.root.com 157.95.1.1
Authoritative NS:172.16.2.89 157.95.1.1
Update is not allowed in zone root.com..
Check the DNS registration for DCs entries on DNS server '157.95.1.1'

********** * ********** * ********** * ********** * ********** *
* CHECK NAME _ldap._tcp.cypress.com. on DNS server 157.95.1.1
********** * ********** * ********** * ********** * ********** *

The Record is different on DNS server '157.95.1.1'.
DNS server has more than one entries for this name, usually this means there
are multiple DCs for this domain.
Your DC entry is one of them on DNS server '157.95.1.1', no need to
re-register.

You need to enable dynamic updates on root.com unless you want to manually
create (and maintain) every SRV record (a tedious and error-prone
operation). It also looks like you are pointing to 157.95.1.1 for DNS
which doesn't host the root.com domain.
