Hi,

I have a local domain qqq.com (not the real name)
qqq.com is also a public website hosted by my ISP
normally there is no problem connecting to the website in and out of the
organization.
but lately I have this problem that only some of the users inside the
organization can
access the website whereas some others can't. all use the same Local DNS
server.
and no one reports problems accessing any other website BUT this specific
one.
there is no problem what so ever to access the website out side of the
organization.

Any suggestions ?

Thanks.

Are they accessing by qqq.com or www.qqq.com?

They should be using www.qqq.com, because qqq.com must resolve to the Domain
Controller for the Domain DFS Share \\qqq.com\sysvol .

Use the DNS console to open the qqq.com Forward Lookup Zone, in the Action
menu select New host, in the name field type in www and give it the IP of
your website.
run ipconfig /flushdns then try again.

You cannot connect to your external site with qqq.com because that must
point to the DC's address that has file sharing enabled. The only workaround
for that is to run a website in IIS on your DCs for qqq.com and redirect
that site to www.qqq.com.
