CCYV-WIKI: The DFS Replication subscriber object cannot be created in Active
Directory: A value in the request is invalid.
When I'm adding this member, it can find the server & the folders to be
replicated, without problem. I am logged in as a domain admin on the "hub"
computer. The other 2 members are in different domains (all part of the same
forest), but the user I'm logged into has domain admin rights on the other
domains.
Does anyone know where I can start looking to find out what this error is?
It might be worth noting, that I am recreating this replication group,
because about 10 days ago, this member stopped replicating -- and there was
an AD error every hour in the event viewer (The DFS Replication service
detected inconsistent msDFSR-Subscriber object while polling for
configuration information. The object at
CN=1b309c2d-6702-4a54-9c08-bf40b5f3c228,CN=DFSR-LocalSettings,CN=CCY-WIKI1,OU=Server,OU=CY-Server,DC=CCY,DC=CC,DC=CORP
references another object at

I have completely deleted (I think) that replication group -- and cannot
find any trace of it in the registries or in AD on any of the computers.
However, I cannot add this computer to the new replication group.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Kathy

I don't know where to look to find the problem -- I've looked in AD users &
computers, and I can see the items in question, and have looked all thru the
properties & security tabs & can't see anything wrong.
Thanks
While checking that previous entries are completely deleted, did you check
and confirmed that all the entries are deleted from Adsiedit.msc as well?
Are you using the same DFS member names that were being used previously?
If yes, is it possible for you to use different names and try again?
Thanks,
Kathy
