I'm looking into a reservation contention problem (both nodes fighting for
the disks) on a pair of Server 2003 Ent w/SP1 two-node, Active/Active
clusters, and, want to verify that it's not being caused by McAfee on the
nodes. I've read MS KB 250355.

From McAfee (NAI KB Article 35898):

"VirusScan Enterprise 7.1 and VirusScan Enterprise 8.0i have been tested and
are supported running in a Windows 2003 cluster environment. VSE supports a
shared disk model and does not interfere with the cluster failover process.
The services installed with VSE are not cluster-aware and are not installed
as a failover group resource.

VirusScan Enterprise should be installed separately on each node of the
cluster. If the active node fails, it has no impact on the installations of
VSE on the surviving nodes. When the node comes back online, VSE will
continue to operate as normal."

We're using 7.1 with latest patches and CMA software, as per the above, but,
just want to ensure that there's nothing else we need to do in so far as
configuring things, or, that this COULD be the source of the contention.

Thanks!
