Hi All...

Is there a simple way to communicate with users logged into an Active
Directory domain? What I'm looking for is a way to pop up a quick message to
all users logged in. Any ideas on this?

Thanks..

Marc

You can use the 'net send' command to pop screen messages to all domain
users so long as they have the messenger service running on their PC. Then
again, so can any other user on the domain which is why most admins disable
this service.

The syntax for this command is as follows [I use this almost daily]:

net send /domain:<flat domain name here> <message>

I can't remember the character limit, but there is one. I try and make the
messages short and to the point.

This is the ticket. Cool beans! I do have one other question, however. What
about Windows 9x clients? They don't have "services" to speak of. Will
installing Winpopup on those machines make them compatible with net send?

Thanks again.
