Problem with Unjoining Domain

unjoin a computer from a domain. Is there a method of manually removing
computers from the domain. And Also removing the workstation from the domain.
I trying a couple of this. But I am only able to rejoin the computer back
onto the domain but not able to remove the computer from a domain.

You must have admin privileges on the Computer.
Use the System Control Panel to change to a workgroup. It will instruct
you to reboot.
That will do it. What happens exactly?

Is there something that needs to modified within active directory.

No.

Likely yes -- it sounds like you might have some damaged DLLs or
other system modules. Perhaps from a bad harddrive area or due
to a bad "update" that isn't correctly installed.
I would first check the harddrive, with "ChkDsk /R" or something better.
(Actually I would first be sure I had a backup including System State.)
Then I would consider a REPAIR install from the original CDROM,
followed by updating with the latest Service Pack and all later fixes.

Herb, I tried running a chkdsk on the system but that did not seem to help.
Anyways here are the loggs. for netsetup.
Again, I can only rejoin the same domain but I can not remove myself from
the domain. Do you guys, know of a way to manually removing yourself from a
domain?? Or if there is a corrupted SID which may be causing this problem.

It almost seems to be relate to net logon. I can't seem to start the
service. I tried running winsock and reinstalled tcp/ip protocol and still
getting the same errors.

Well the idea was to FIRST do this (or other disk tests) to make sure
you have no ongoing problems with the disk before doing a REPAIR
INSTALL.
The REPAIR Install was the main suggestion.
