server rejecting replication requests

I have 6 windows 2k3 servers running AD and all were working fine until, i
believe, one of them had a network card failure. This caused the server to
go off line for a few days. Now that the network is up and running i find
errors in replication between it and my other servers. When i try to force a
replication the computer responds with "the destination server is rejecting
replication requests". If i run dcdiag.exe it tells me that "replication has
been explicitly disable through the server options". This is also affecting
my DNS replication.

Is there a way to re-enable replication between my servers?

Any help would be much appreciated!!

I'd suggest you to run repadmin and replmon to grab some more info.
Otherwise, depending on your urgency and available time, demote and promote
it again to DC.

where <DC> is the name of the server that has replication disabled

also have a look if if the NETLOGON service is paused on <Dc>

report back with the answers and we'll what to do

i could not get the server to replacate and needed it back online. I had to
force demoted it, cleaned up the meta data relating to the server, joined the
server back to the domain, and promoted it. It seems to be working fine now.

I will put this information in my book of checks that I hope I won't have to
consult for this problem again. I did not see this post until after demoting
and promoting the server.
