The error appears whenever I try to launch the "Active Directory Users and
Computers" applet. The server is a domain controller in the domain.
Note: The error also appears if I convert the server to a member server,
then install the Admin Pak, then try to run the "Active Directory Users and
Computers" applet.

If you do the command "DCDIAG /V, what tests does this machine fail?
DCDIAG.EXE is installed with the Support Tools.

I ran DCIAG /V on the problematic DC, and it failed the "systemlog" test.
However, when I tried running DCDIAG /V on another, working DC, it also
failed the same "systemlog" test, so I'm not sure how significant the result
of that test is.

I managed to clear up the first two warnings by removing some entries from
the WINS database and starting the Messenger service on the DC. However,
the problem still exists - I keep getting that '0x80040e37' error every time
I try to run the Active Directory Users and Computers applet.
What does that '0x80040e37' code mean anyway? I couldn't find it in the MS
Support site.
