Hello, can does the client check that it is connecting to the right
server when using a Remote Desktop connection and on the other hand how
does the server authenticate the client in NLA.

I am assuming you mean more than just typing in the IP or the name of the
machine you want to connect to in Remote Desktop Connection dialogue box?

Are you trying to ask if the server authenticates the client before
accepting the connection? If so look at ipsec
