I'm in the process of executing and Exchange 2007 migration. The
organization currently uses a Perl-based web page (running on a Unix
host) to manage a lot of the onboarding and administrative tasks (a
lot more than just email). I'd like to replace the current module
they're using in Perl to manage email with one that will use
PowerShell, since Exchange 2007 is so PowerShell-capable.
What kind of interoperability options do I have to get PowerShell to
play in this Perl-based script? I know there is a beta of a remoting
tool available, but I think it only supports Windows-to-Windows
remoting. Is that correct?

Are you talking about the open source remoting tool/project or this
up and coming product:
http://www.nsoftware.com/powershell/remoting/default.aspx
Not having access to that product, I don't know exactly how it might
help you.
Security issues aside, you could also use HTTP calls using something
like this:

Marco
And another blog reference to remote HTTP calls:

Thanks for the links. I was referring to the open source remoting
tool. I'll check out the nsoftware version as well. But at this point
I have a feeling I am going to end up exposing a web service to the
Perl modules.
