I have windows 7 and a Linksys 2200 Media Center Extender. The Windows Media
Center works fine with my Picture, Music and Video media libraries as well
as with a TV tuner for viewing live TV or TV recording. The Linksys MCE
plays all the media as above EXCEPT for the music library. When I try to
play music with the extender I get a message saying that there is nothing in
the library. When I check the library setting at the MCE there is no folder
selected for music and it is not possible to select one (although it is OK
when viewed on the WMC).

I have checked all the folder sharing settings etc and (as far as I can see)
the settings are the same for all media.

What can be wrong??

Music worked ok on the MCE until a few days ago but I can't fathom what
could have changed to cause the problem.

Any ideas??

Where is your music stored? Did you change the default location?
Go into Windows Media Player - do you see the library there? Is there content
there and can you play it?

My music is stored on a separate partition, not the default location. It can
be seen and played by WMP and WMC. It is only the Windows Media Extender
which cannot see the music library, although it can see the other media
libraries.
