Hello,

i'm have been having trouble setting up my xbox 360 as a media center
extender from my windows vista pc. The strange thing is that on
another pc on the same network has no trouble connecting and setting
up. The issue i am having is after going through the set up stages on
the xbox, aquiring the code, and then proceeding to the last set up
screen i then go onto media center on my pc and go to the settings and
then add extender option when setting up the pc cannot find the
extender. It gets to the check box searching for extender but never
puts a tick in this box then a screen comes up saying the extender
cannot be found. Because this does not happen on my friends machine
(again on the same network with the same os) i believe it to be an
issue with my pc. I have scoured the internet to no avail... any
ideas?

cheers
kyle b

Have you looked at the kb article that Doug provided a link to?

You need to disable ICS on your wireless adapter. Goto your wireless
adapter and click properties then click the share tab then uncheck it.

That's it. Diasabling the ICS of the wireless adapter does the trick.

Thanks, Chriztofor.

Please don't clipped the rest of the topic thread, no one can tell what
issue to which you are replying?

All people will see is your response (below), with no idea whether or not it
is related to an issue they may be having.

What does the advice refer to?

You deleted all of the previous messages.

You leave the body of the messages you refer to, otherwise, nobody knows
what you are talking about.

It is plain to me that your primary language is not English.
