You may find that these uses are not entirely compatible.
A HTPC does not need a lot of computing grunt so components are chosen to be
quiet rather than powerful.
Gamers on the other hand usually want the latest and greatest over clocked
video cards and CPUs, which means a need for added (noisier) cooling so the
system won't overheat.
