I just bought a computer with Windows 7 and had "windows Live Sync" installed
and working with my XP laptop. I now get the message above when Trying to
start Sync.

It references C:\Users\sprtndad\Documents\My Music\iTunes

I have uninstalled and reinstalled Sync on both computers... Nothing. Any
Suggestions?

In the interim, I deletd the personal folder "My Documents" and added "My
Music" and "My Pictures" and synced these folders. Once I go back to having
just trying to sync "My Documents", I get the error and it won't let me
proceed. Is it because these folders are not under My Documents in Windows
7? How do I fix this?

I believe that you are correct in your assumption about these folders, though
I'm not positive. The My Documents, My Music and My Pictures folders are
"special" folders in Windows.
Have you tried creating the My Music and My Pictures folders within \Documents
manually on the Win7 machine and then tried to use Live Sync for the whole
\Documents folder to \My Documents on the XP machine?

I have just purchased a Windows 7 computer and have installed Windows Live
Sync
latest version, NOT the beta, and I get the exact same "Unable to create
a
folder" type message when I try to sync "My Documents" between
the new Win-7 and the old Win-XP.

I also am guessing it's the structure of the directories. In my case it's
sub-directories of "My Pictures" which in XP is under "My
Documents" but in Win-7 is directly under usersmyname

Did you, or anyone else, ever find and answer to your question?

Are you now able to use Windows Live Sync to sync the whole 'My Docs'
sub-directories structure between your Win-7 and your Win-XP computers?
