I recently started using Windows Live Sync to synchronize several folders of
mine. Today, in preparation to install Windows 7 when it comes out in a
month, I went to back up a few of the directories I have synchronized by
copying and pasting them to an external hard drive.

When I did so, however, I was prompted with an error. It read, "Cannot copy
My Doc..\: It is being used by another person or program."

When I looked at the file copy window, I also noticed it was trying to copy
a file called ".fsLockFile". This was the file that's causing the problem.

After some using Google, I'm unable to find any workaround aside from
closing Live Sync, copying the folder, then reopening it.

I figured I would ask here whether there's a better way, or if Microsoft is
even aware that the issue exists.

Thanks!
