Hi,

It seems that birthday calendars are not getting updated when I add birthday
information to my existing contacts. It shows birthdays for only those which
had birthday information before I upgraded to the latest version of Windows
Live.

Also, does birthday calendar also display the anniversary events?

Regards,
Pradeep

Hi Pradeep -

Give the birthday calendar some time to update... There is some syncing
that needs to happen, which can take a little time. Let us know if the
updates never seem to come through.

Also, birthday calendar does not display anniversary events. We'll pass
this request on to the appropriate folks.

Thanks!

Hi Pradeep

It will take a day or so for the updated birthdays to appear in your
birthday calendar. The birthday calendar is updated on the server via a
query over the Windows Live contacts store, and that query runs
periodically.

Thanks for dogfooding!

Give it a few hours and you'll see that the information is updated.
The calendar does not include anniversary events.

I'm having a similar issue. I updated to Beta and when I went to the
calendar there was no "Birthdays" calendar at all. I had one or two contacts
with birthday info prior to upgrade and have added several more post-upgrade.
However, there is no "Birthdays" check box listed and none of the birthdays
are showing up.

Hi,

Even after almost 36 hours, the birthdays of updated contacts have not got
listed.
Is there a manual way to sync this information between the desktop and the
online Live Calendar?

Regards,
Pradeep

Hi Pradeep - To make sure I understand. When you go to calendar.live.com,
you see your contact's birthdays correctly. But the birthdays are not shown
in WLMail's calendar ui? Even after you click tools->'sync with web
calendar'?

No. I did not add the birthdays using live.calendar.com.
I only updated my contacts information in WLMail to add birthdays.

The contacts information has got synced with the online contacts list, as I
see the updates I had done to my contacts. However, the birthday information
is not automatically added to the calendar from the contacts.

Isn't WLMail calendar supposed to automatically add these birthdays to the
calendar? If not, isn't it the desired feature. I'd not like to manage
birthdays at multiple locations.

I am having a similar issue. Changes to my live contacts of names, new
contacts or birth dates are not being reflected in the Birthday calendar even
after 36 hours. This is whether I am looking via calendar.live.com or the
WLMail Calendar (which I love btw!).
