At least change your password. It may be best to actually set up a new
email account. However, if someone actually did get a copy of your
contacts, you will not be able to stop them from continuing to send spam,
and continuing to do so "posing as you" (using your e-address as the From:).
If a spammer gets your email address (typically in public web forums) they
can label email they are sending from their server with your address, so it
looks like you sent it to the recipient. A look at the headers is the only
way to show it wasn't actually sent by you. But seldom do these people get
caught. So start with a password / email change. And, just so you know . .
