Unable to send or receive messages using WLM Desktop

Hotmail and MSN.COM email account and have had to use outlook the past couple
of days is there a problem with Microsoft servers? does any one know what
the problem is? I am getting these error messages:
Unable to send or receive messages for the Msn account. Sorry, we were
unable to sign you in to Windows Live ID at this time. Please try again later.
Subject 'studs'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x80048820
and
Unable to send or receive messages for the Msn account. Sorry, we were
unable to sign you in to Windows Live ID at this time. Please try again later.

Have you tried sending a different email with a different topic? You
could possibly be running up against some type of anti-spam measure with
that particular subject line.

responce no top of not being able to recieve or send any mail on any of my
accounts.
"Sorry we are unable to sign you in to Windows Live ID at this time
Please try again later"
I don't get it? I can access my email from the internet but I can't log
into live mail.

If you don't have a POP account, it would be good to get
a free Gmail account, for those times when the Hotmail
servers are acting up.

Gary, are the Hotmail servers known to be acting up right now? I'm having
the same problem. Can't sync to Hotmail via Windows Live Mail, but I can
through the web browser interface. I even have the correct mail count in my
IE toolbar, but have received errors syncing to Hotmail for about a day now.

Pre-empting Gary - yes, many of them are in turmoil. Take a quick look at
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windows.live.customdomains.techsupport.com
and news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.msn.discussion
It's been going on for days, and MSFT haven't said a word publicly.
