sucks.
I've taught msft technologies for years and I have to say this is simply
another m$$ marketing move, to try to push people to live. It has no
advantages over OE and is a step backwards from Windows Mail. Junk mail is
useless; would take twice as long to teach it how to behave as it would to
delete the spam you get from you ISP. The ability to sync with web mail is
a waste of time: you already can, and my guess is you are either using web
mail because you like it (doh!, but such folks do exist) or you are using it
to park email you do are in no hurry to receiver. Besides, you can already
download mail from various webmail providers to the older and better ms mail
clients. this is yet another microsoft time waster.

Rants suck, and ranters are time wasters.

Rants are cool --- they sometimes help to alert persons who might be able
to help rectify a situation to the conditions that exist. And ranters---
they're cool too--- not sure where you are, but there would be no U.S.A.
were not for some colonial ranters.

Those Colonial "ranters" weren't just "ranting" they were, initially,
offering constructive alternative to "the way things were", and, when that
failed, they "grabbed the bull by the horns", and forcibly created the
alternatives that they suggested.

The OP could have either, offered constructive suggestions for improvements,
or written his own alternative to the problem software. Either would have
been more like the founders of the U.S.A. than mere whining.

No, this is not a discussion forum, it is a peer-to-peer help forum.
Ranters are often so intent on spewing venom that they fail to
detail the exact nature of their problem, thereby wasting the time
of responders who are here to help.
