Why are Microsoft fannying about with Live Mail, it's all over the place.
For what it's worth, Yahoo Mail, GMail, etc aren't any better.

Why can't we have a subscription based FULL online version of Outlook,
including fully functional import/export, etc. which is missing from Outlook
Web Access amongst other things.

Zimbra is close, but their biggest restriction is that Zimbra's calendar
reminder function is ridiculously unusable. Maximum snooze period 60
minutes! Maximum reminder period of 18 hours before event! What planet was
that programmer on, obviously not one that ever uses calendar reminders.

Sorry, rant over now.

If by "Live Mail", you are referring to "Windows Live Hotmail", you are in
the wrong newsgroup. If by "Live Mail", you are referring to "Windows Live
Mail", that is an entirely different "thing" than either Yahoo! Mail, or
Gmail.

Why are people so wedded to "The Web"? "The Web" != "The Internet".

You are not alone, Windows Live Mail may be more advanced than OE but it's
interface and appearance certainly leave a lot to be desired.

Have you tried to use Hotmail in Outlook Express lately? with the new
Windows Live Hotmail you can use OE again... and if you still can't since
they are implementing the change gradually, Windows Live Hormail as part of
Phase 1, they have rolled this feature out to all free users in the
following countries: UK, Canada, Australia, France, Japan, Spain, Germany,
Italy, and the Netherlands. And if your country is not included in Phase 1,
you may not have to wait for long... in the meantime, you can use "FreePOPs"
this little application is supposed to make Outlook Express access free
Windows Live Hotmail.
