I just got windows live mail for vista and the view by conversation can not
be enabled. It seems to be permanently disabled and can not be highlighted.
Does anyone know how to get it to work again?
It works for me and nobody else has complained about this.
I click View | Current View and then click the bottom item on the context
menu, which is View by conversation. There is no "highlight", just a check
in front of the item.
Are you sure you are in the main WLM window? The Toolbar changes, depending
on which part of WLM you are working in. For example, this Compose window
has the View button, but there's no Current view item on the drop-down menu.
Please tell us, step by step, HOW you are trying to enable View by
conversation, and what results you see. Also, please tell us which build of
WLM you are using. (Since you posted via the web-based interface, we can't
tell that from the headers of your message.)

This may have solved my problem I am unsure. I played with all the views
numerous times, then restarted my computer and it was able to be enabled
again before I got your post. Thank you for your reply.

It doesn't matter if anyone else has complained.
I am online today to seek a solution for the same problem that Scott was
having. Your post was not helpful.
Thankfully Peter R had the perfect remedy.
If you can't help, just shut up!!
Thank you for your posting.
Your suggestion was the best solution. How did you figure it out?

It does indicate that the problem is very limited in scope.

If you don't like the response, don't read it. Telling people to shut up is
just plain......rude!

Exactly what I meant. And it was a perfectly valid observation, followed by
other comments and questions that would allow Scott to explain further. I'm
glad Peter was able to help, even without the additional information.
But maybe we are misinterpreting K1m0ra's comments, just as he/she
misinterpreted mine. :^{
